Mothers Milk

Description

This is a single cask, single malt, limited edition bottling that is inspired by one of the first founders of the Nine Rivers Distillery Project – Texas Tim.  Mother’s Milk will be a unique crafting of Madiera cask matured single malt whisky that will never be replicated again.

Madiera cask matured whisky is reputed to be the single favourite style of Tim so it’s completely understandable why this was his chosen cask style to release this cask.

It will start with a hand-picked, 20 year old Madeira cask which we will import directly from Madeira.  We will then prepare a 100% malted barley mash which will be fermented ready for distillation.

We will cut between 16% and 18% of the distillate for casking.  The new make spirit will be casked at 66% ABV and the whisky will be allowed to mature for 36 months.  The slightly higher ABV will extract more from the cask much quicker than normal, hence th shorter maturation period.  Upon maturity, the whisky will be rested for 30 days before being bottled at cask strength.

We will draw just 175 bottles from this cask and they will all be numbered as 1 of 175 bottles, with the details of this special bottling.

Packaging

• Mothers Milk bottles will be presented in a unique and handcrafted wooden presentation box.  Each 700ml bottle will be presented with its own 50ml tasting bottle.
• We expect a minimalist design and label on the bottle.  Stating the name of the distillery, the name of this bottle, distillation date, casking date, resting date, bottling date and the number of bottles produced.
• All bottles will be signed by Jay Robertson.  This will be the only single cask product that will be endorsed by Jay Robertson.

Payment Terms

Bottles can be reserved now with a non-refundable 5% deposit.  The first 100 bottles are for sale at HK$1150 (approximately ¥1000.  The 5% deposit required is HK$57.5.

Full payment is expected to be taken in August 2020 where the remaining 95% will be expected.
